CyphTwo’s relationship with hip-hop began before he could even speak. As an infant, he was already naturally moving and vibing to the flow of Notorious B.I.G, Wu-Tang Clan, and Lauryn Hill. Born to a Black-American mother and a Greek/Colombian father, his diverse bloodline
allowed him to experience a myriad of cultures through a holistic lens, shaping his comprehensive outlook on identity from an early age.
After spending most of his childhood in East Orange, New Jersey, CyphTwo eventually moved to Newark, where he truly found himself both as an artist and as a person. Raised in a culturally Black-American home by his mother and his stepfather, he developed into an individual others know for being gifted at giving insightful guidance, building meaningful relationships, and being contagiously inspiring to the inner-city youth. His cultural complexity and his experiences with socioeconomic struggle fuel and inspire much of his lyrical content.
At only the ripe age of 13 years old, CyphTwo had composed his first body of work and was already hatching plans to take over the world. Since then, he has tirelessly pursued the vision of being the voice of the youth. Influenced by the storytelling of Nas and the fluidity of Jay-Z, he hopes to facilitate an exchange of empowerment between the young people in his neighborhood and himself. With his music and creativity, CyphTwo will redefine that ambiguous gray area surrounding poverty and opportunity.
